Products moved to the desired location by the installer

Products completely unpackaged by the installer

Cleaning up and preparing all product packaging for disposal (Note: This does not include any trash that was in the area prior to the install)

Products are appropriately levelled (Note: This is dependent on the surface of the installation area)

If applicable, ensuring products are secured to the wall (Note: Walls must be backed by wood studs)

Arrange for an individual who is at least 18 years of age to be present when the installer arrives. This person will show the installer the proper location, as well as do a walk-through following the installation, to ensure satisfaction

Find a location where children and pets can be kept away from the entire installation process

Ensure the installation area is accessible and free of any debris, trash or obstacles

Take down or remove any cabinets that will interfere with the installation

Sweep or vacuum the area to create a fresh surface for installation

Make sure that the area can accommodate the cabinets (Refer to the dimensions provided on the website)

Verify that the walls and ceilings where the products will be placed are backed by wood studs

Confirm whether there is sufficient overhead clearance and clear anything that might interfere with the vertical installation of the cabinets

Clear a space of up to 10 feet in front of the installation area

Establish a clear walkway, from the delivery location to the install location (Note: This area must be big enough for the installer to move products with a dolly)

Check to make sure that your walls and ceilings are up-to-date with current building codes and standards

  • The disposal of any trash, old cabinets or shelving, which were in the area prior to the install

  • Clean up & collection of trash or debris

  • Filling holes, fixing drywall or painting

  • Any permits, zoning variances and/or homeowner approvals, which may be required in advance of the installation

  • Checking to ensure the work areas are up-to-date with current building codes and standards

  • Preparation for the installation (Note: Installation area must be cleared before Installer arrives)
